Recognition granted to newly elected body of Cycling Federation of India by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India.

33rd Senior and 20th Junior Asian Cycling Championship 2013 has been allotted to New Delhi
33rd Senior, 20th Junior Asian Cycling Championship (Road & Track) in both men and Women section has been allotted to India for the year 2013. The Championship will be held in the month of March 2013 at New Delhi.
Mr. P. S. Dhindsa, President and Mr. Onkar Singh, Secretary General, CFI made the successful Bid at the Managing Committee Meeting of the Asian Cycling Confederation on 22nd September 2011 held at Copenhagen during the World Road Race Championship in Denmark.
More than 40 Countries from the Asian Subcontinent are expected to participate in this 10 days Mega Event.

Cycling Federation of India (CFI) is a pioneer in the promotion of cycling sports in India affiliated to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and International bodies like Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC) and Union Cycliste International (UCI).Cycling Federation of India (CFI) also conduct National Coaching Camps for Elite Men & Women who are selected on the basis of their performance in the National Championship.

Brief History of Cycling in India
Cycling as a sports was introduced in India with the efforts of Sh. Janki Das in mid thirties. It found its International level when Sh. Janki Das, the lone Indian Cyclist participated in the British Empire Games at Sydney (Australia) in 1938 with Swami Jagan Nath accompanied as Manager.
